a few months ago I saw many videos about typical issues and problems concerning the W201, taken from Kent Bergsma, an Mercedes expert for the classical cars. His good description about the "how to do it yourself" encouraged me to make an easy repair myself; the ignition wires. One wire, leading to the spark plug of the second cylinder, was broken. I guess it was a marten damage. The W201 ran well but I always thought that the engine might run a little better with a new set of ignition wires.
I ordered some from the manufacturer "Beru" and I started the work on a sunny Saturday noon. Watch my video below and enjoy the little DIY-picture-description with text comments.
